WE’RE SHARING OUR LOVE FOR FOOD

St. Pete Meat & Provisions is a family-owned butcher shop providing the Tampa Bay area with meticulously hand-cut meat and curated provisions. We source responsibly raised animals from local and regional farms. We offer a variety of cuts, while utilizing as much as we can from each animal.

From beef, including Wagyu and dry-aged beef, poultry, pork, house made sausages and jerky, bison, game meats, marinated meats, lamb and veal, we have something for everyone. We have a selection of frozen seafood, cheese and charcuterie, farm fresh eggs, dressings, sauces, marinades, fresh pasta, and house made provisions. The shop features a curated selection of dry goods such as seasonings, spices, rubs, oils, honey, jams, hot sauces, pickles, charcoal, crackers, cookbooks, and St. Pete Meat & Provisions merchandise and grilling tools.

Our mission is to share our love story with food, introducing you to the people, places, and practices associated each and every step of the way. Our chef-minded butchers dry age and hand-cut at the shop. And, that's how we’re setting a new standard.

St. Pete Meat & Provisions was started with a purpose: to offer food that’s good for the planet, its people and its animals. Our butcher shop was born out of the need for a better way to eat meat while cooking at home. We want more transparency between farmers and consumers, we want a new approach to buying restaurant quality meats and cooking products, and we want to set the new industry standard.

REDEFINING THE TAMPA BAY MEAT BUYING EXPERIENCE

In 2020, with the pandemic shaping at-home cooking trends, James Beard and Food Network recognized Chef David Benstock opened a small meat market with a simple plan - fill a void in our area, make customers happy, and keep them coming back. Quickly, St. Pete Meat & Provisions transitioned into a larger, more versatile butcher shop. If you’ve spent time at Benstock's downtown St. Pete modern Italian eatery IL Ritorno, which offers new and interesting flavor combinations, you won't be surprised at the focus of this concept.

St. Pete Meat & Provisions is a creative collaboration between Benstock and his wife Erica, along with entrepreneurs Brooke Boyd, owner of Hype Group, and Peter Boyd, owner of Reno Boyd Building Co. The team looks forward to embracing quality, sustainable meat, and sharing the crafts of butchery and cookery with you.
